PRACTICE FOCUS
Robert Barlett is a member of the Firm’s Business Law and Transactions’ Practice Group. Mr. Barlett represents corporate, private equity, and venture capital clients in connection with a variety of transactional, securities and financial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, exchanges, and joint ventures, as well as securities offerings, debt financings and restructurings, and other strategic transactions.
Mr. Barlett regularly serves as outside general counsel to clients and advises on a variety of general corporate, formation, securities compliance, financing, employment, intellectual property, real estate, government contracting, corporate governance and other business-related matters. Mr. Barlett has extensive experience advising clients seeking investment capital, including the private placement of securities under Regulation D and Section 4 of the Securities Act of 1933, as well as various state Blue Sky securities laws. In addition, Mr. Barlett has represented lenders and financial institutions in connection with structuring, negotiating, and documenting asset based and unsecured loans, mezzanine debt, and other commercial loan transactions.
