Practice Focus
Bryan Pelino is a member of Offit Kurman’s Banking and Finance Practice Group primarily offering his expertise in the areas of secured financing and regulatory compliance to lenders in both the commercial and consumer markets. Mr. Pelino has acted as counsel to lenders, developers and business owners in some of the largest and most complex C&I and real estate financing transactions in the Mid-Atlantic Region. As part of his practice, Mr. Pelino frequently acts as legal counsel to lenders in connection with SBA 7(a) and 504 loans. Mr. Pelino further represents clients in the redocumentation of troubled loans, debtor-in-possession financing and loan
workouts.
Mr. Pelino was vital to the creation of C3 Compliance Consultants, an Offit Kurman company, which was formed to help lenders across the United States comply with regulations overseen by the recently launched Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and is a frequent lecturer to local, regional and national lenders and trade groups on a variety of topics including mortgage compliance and regulatory concerns.

Mr. Pelino has been a member of the Maryland State Bar since December 2002. Mr. Pelino has served as both vice chair and chair of the Mount Airy Streets and Roads Commission. Mr. Pelino is an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Examples of Mr. Pelino’s presentations include “Dodd-Frank, Regulation Z and TILA Updates,” which was offered at the Annual Conference for the National Association of Consumer Credit Administrators and “Third Party Service Providers and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB),” presented for the Community Mortgage Lenders of America on the topics including.
He is also a frequent lecturer to local lenders on a variety of topics including commercial lending process and documentation, construction lending, lien priority and title insurance.
Previous Work
Pelino brings with him a wealth of knowledge in finance law, and he comes to Offit Kurman Attorneys At Law from a midsize law firm with roots in Baltimore County. In his previous position, Mr. Pelino represented commercial lenders.
