Practice Focus

Mr. Elias is a member of Offit Kurman’s Landlord Representation group, where he represents numerous commercial and residential property owners, management companies, and Landlords.  He is well versed in both commercial and residential real estate law and is known as an authoritative voice on the Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act.

Mr. Elias also maintains a general civil practice where he focuses on litigation and transaction matters.  Mr. Elias represents various business owners, companies, and individuals regarding their various legal issues.

In addition, Mr. Elias handles personal injury and liability claims and has a broad background in insurance coverage disputes. He also advises his clients on estate planning issues and manages certain family law matters as well. Furthermore, Mr. Elias has experience in appellate practice in the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, and was the drafter in an appellate brief regarding indefinite alimony and divorce. In September 2009, he argued the appeal in front of the Court of Special Appeals where he prevailed and the Court’s opinion is published as Cruz v. Silva, 984 A.2d 295 (Md. App. 2009).
