Activities
Ms. Smith is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association as well as the Frederick County Bar Association. Additionally, she is a board member of the Estate Planning Council of Frederick County and the Dancing Classrooms of Western Maryland. Ms. Smith also served as a board member of the Historical Society of Frederick County from 2005 to 2010.
Honors
Ms. Smith received the Edward H. Curlander Prize for Estate Planning in 1992.
Previous Work
Ms. Smith worked at Seymour B. Stern & Associates, P.A. for over twelve years prior to the firm's merger with Offit Kurman. Following law school, Karen Smith clerked on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland - Hon. William W. Wenner 1992-1993.
