Robert Axenfeld Presented Copyright Laws Seminar To Chinese Officials
Robert R. Axenfeld co-chair of the Intellectual-Property Group, at Offit Kurman, gave a seminar on December 6 and December 7 on U.S. Copyright Law to 15 Chinese Officials visiting from Guangzhou’s Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (Guangzhou has a population of about 12.78 million.) Following the seminar, Axenfeld stated that
“China is dealing with many of the same issues of enforcing copyrights as in the U.S. China desires to learn how the U.S. legal system may deal with what are often first-impression cases in both countries involving the Internet. China appears genuinely interested in vigorously policing intellectual property rights generally. So, it was a pleasure speaking to them about Copyright, Patent and Intellectual Property Laws in the U.S.”
