OFFIT KURMAN WELCOMES FORREST READ TO ITS LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE GROUP
Bethesda, MD | August 6, 2011 – Offit Kurman is pleased to announce that Labor & Employment attorney Forrest Read has joined the firm. Mr. Read is a litigator, counselor, and advisor in all aspects of management-sided labor and employment law in non-unionized and unionized workplaces.

Mr. Read focuses his practice primarily on labor and employment disputes, including claims of discrimination and harassment, claims arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and claims arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA); federal and state wage-hour laws; and employment-related tort claims. He also represents employers in labor arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements and has represented companies throughout the country in both federal and state courts. Mr. Read counsels employers with respect to compliance on wage-hour issues, employee classification, discrimination, family and medical leave, child labor, and hiring, firing, and promotion. His practice has particularly focused on the hospitality industry, including litigation and counseling relating to employers’ compensation of tipped employees, and the health care industry, including litigation and review of policies relating to graduate medical education programs.
