Offit Kurman Attorney Sara M. Donohue Awarded Committee Chair of the Year for her Work as Vice Chair of the Judicial Selections Panel Committee
Offit Kurman Principal Attorney, Sara M. Donohue, was recently voted Committee Chair of the Year at the Bar Association of Montgomery County’s 120th Law Day Celebration. Ms. Donohue’s award was for her work as Vice Chair of the Judicial Selections Panel Committee. The Judicial Selections Panel Committee is composed of twenty-four members with eight members appointed each year by the President for a three year term. The purpose of the Judicial Selections Panel Committee is to encourage the candidacy of well-qualified persons for judicial office; promote, support and endorse such candidates during the process of selection; and identify any candidate for judicial office who shall be found not qualified.
In addition to her participation on the Judicial Selection Panel Committee, Ms. Donohue has recently been elected to serve on the Executive Committee for the Montgomery County Bar Association. She is also a Master of the Bench in the Montgomery County Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Ms. Donohue has served on the Nominations and Elections Committee of the Montgomery County Bar Association, as the Co-Chair of the Family Law Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association, President of the Women’s Bar Association of the Maryland-Montgomery County Chapter, Chairperson of the Circuit Bench/Bar Committee, and as a member of the Board of Directors and former treasurer for the Collaborative Divorce Association Inc.
