Here’s How Federal Contractors Can Recoup Losses Caused by the Government Shutdown

As federal employees and contractors return to work, many contractors are still attempting to quantify the actual impact of the partial government shutdown.

Most contractors are accustomed to working at risk during the end of funding periods, when the government’s budgets are not finalized and the contractors run the risk of working with no clear promise of payment for their work. The shutdown this time was different for most contractors, however, because of a complete inability to access government sites and employees and to do what was considered nonessential work.
